YOUR TEACHER
Meet Louise
My love for movement began with dance as a teenager, which I pursued at university with a degree in Dance Studies. After graduating, I embarked on a corporate career, fitting exercise in whenever it was convenient, but in truth, I lost touch with the kind of movement I loved.
Living in London during the rise of boutique fitness reignited that interest in a more purposeful way. After having my first child, I went on to train as a Pilates, Yoga and Barre instructor.
My own experience of pregnancy and postnatal recovery led me to qualify as a Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. I wanted to support women more meaningfully through this stage of life and simply knowing how to adapt exercise safely didn't feel like it was enough; I wanted a deeper understanding of the changes pregnancy and birth can create, and the knowledge to support women through recovery as well as their return to movement.
That specialist knowledge now shapes the way I teach more broadly. Whether I’m supporting someone after having a baby or helping someone get stronger, I’m always looking at the individual in front of me and what their body actually needs, rather than simply adapting a standard exercise programme.
That approach naturally became the foundation for That Studio Space.
I wanted to create a small, welcoming place where exercise could feel supportive rather than intimidating, somewhere you can build strength, move well and actually enjoy the process. From the studio in Crowthorne, I now teach small-group Pilates and Barre classes alongside private Pilates, Reformer and personal training, as well as specialist pre and postnatal support.
